An adaptation of Sir J.M.Barrie's "The little Minister"
by Hugo Williamson
Lyrics by Ralph Reader
Music by Jack Waller and Joseph Turnbridge

 Story

"Wild Grows the Heather" is a musical based on Sir J.M.Barrie's "The little Minister" which is played against the backcloth of his own township of Thrums.  In the adaptation all Barrie's pawky humour has been retained

It is a tale of Redcoats and rebellious weavers, of a recalcitrant minister and a high-born lady ,masquerading as a gypsy lass, with a congregation of 70 voice "Walking to the Kirk on a Sunday Morning"
